Re: street fairs
Mon, April 19, 2004 - 8:27 AMPeople also burn out of street fairs really fast, so limiting it to once a year will make them more enjoyable when they do happen. -

Re: street fairs
Mon, May 3, 2004 - 7:12 PMWhat is the cost of having a street fair?
I guess I'm use to the nyc's street fairs that are all over the neighborhoods. I'm looking for some uniqueness or authentic items and not overpriced merchandise possibly less yuppie-like for example polk st. (sorry I hope I didn't defend anyone.) -

Street fairs are usually too overthought and underfunded - I'm familiar with Milwaukee where the churches did beer busts and there was a fair every weekend
A stret fair could happen if it was well organized and started as a block long or even better - a private parking lot where gate donations could go to local charities that serve the people of the area - like homelessness or shelters, food programs etc -
