Magnolia Thunderpussy's menu, 1967
In 1967 a group of friends that included Ira (Ike) Newman and Patsy Masson (<-Sp?) aka 'Magnolia Thunderpussy' took over what was originally Schumate's Pharmacy and then the Drugstore (then the Drogstore) Cafe at 1399 Haight and opened "Magnolia Thunderpussy's."
After them came The Psalms, then Dish (where every plate in the place was different) and is presently Magnolia Pub and Brew.
This is a fax of an original menu donated by Ike who I met at the 30th Haight Street Fair which I hope to replace with a better scan in the future.
