Richard was famous for conducting as art-
He put mirrors up above the door so that tourists on buses could take their own pictures, he converted a storerooom to 'The Calm Room' a place for trippers to mentally decompress, put theater seats in the front window so that hippies could watch the tourists and regularly handed the store keys to unsuspecting tourists and then went across the street to the Shady Grove for coffee where he would sit in the window and watch what they did.
